I am delighted that this newsletter features reports from two short-term volunteers on their experiences with us. Since the beginning of our work in 2008, both younger and older volunteers have been coming to Lighthouse Battambang for a few weeks or months. The cultural exchange is always very valuable on both sides and changes hearts. If you would like to experience something like this, I can highly recommend it to you. Perhaps you’re now thinking: “Yes, I would actually like to do that, but I don’t think it’s for me, it’s not realistic or it’s just not (yet) possible at the moment, for one reason or another.” I would like to encourage you all the more to simply take the first or next step and get in touch with us – and maybe just give it a try. We have seen time and time again that these missions have been particularly blessed, both for the volunteer and for our people in Cambodia. Take a chance, get in touch and be surprised.
